A Bible Study for the Curious
Christian’s Institute of Theology: A Bible Study for the Curious is a lifelong project, completed in June 2025 (first edition). This course is two-pronged in purpose: the defense of the Christian faith and the empowerment of the individual. This work is not copyrighted, is freely available, and is designed to make the student more intelligent. The information in this Bible study is a powerful tool to break through strong satanic deception. We pray that you will take up the cross and become a Christian apologist.
Empowered by the Shepherd
“Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do His will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” — Hebrews 13:20–21
From Darkness to Light
This Bible study is designed to guide the student from darkness to light. The two great pillars upon which the kingdom of Satan is erected—ignorance and error—are overcome through knowledge and understanding. The first step in our spiritual freedom is to have our eyes opened and be turned from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). God has set men as heads of families to labor in wisdom and understanding, becoming leaders and teachers of the faith.
Grow in Knowledge, Teach with Wisdom
“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.” — Hebrews 5:12 (KJV)
Knowledge Shapes Destiny
Knowledge is powerful, even in Scripture: the devil tempted Adam and Eve through the fruit of knowledge (Genesis 2:17; 3:4). True understanding (I Kings 3:5, 9) guides the mind and life, securing eternal conditions (Proverbs 19:2; Ephesians 4:18; Hosea 4:6).
The Challenge of Sin and Deception
Every sin has roots in ignorance and error. If sinners truly knew what they did, they would not crucify the Lord of glory (I Corinthians 2:8). Every sin provokes the Lord's and the treasuries' wrath (Hebrews 6:6; Romans 2:5). Satan’s methods are subtle, presenting evil under the guise of good, deceiving men through appearances of light and love while hiding destruction.
Stand Firm in Faith
The antidote? Ground yourself in the Christian faith. The unstable are easily swayed: clouds without water (Jude 1:12) and ships without ballast (Ephesians 4:14). Knowledge must go beyond speculation—into heart and spiritual understanding, as seen in martyrs who could not dispute but could die for Christ (Hebrews 5:14).
Heart Knowledge, Not Just Brain Knowledge
At Christian’s Institute of Theology, we emphasize an inward, savory understanding of divine truths. This is not mere intellectual knowledge but spiritual discernment—exercising your senses to discern good and evil and strengthening faith through Christ.
